About Us

The Ocean Regional Ethics Committee (OREC) is a group of concerned professionals from throughout the healthcare and social services community of Northern Ocean County, New Jersey.  Our mission is to educate healthcare professionals and community members about ethical issues in non-acute healthcare settings.

OREC serves as a forum for both the discussion and resolution of ethical dilemmas.  Our primary goal in each case with which we become involved as to identify, explore, and present the best possible outcomes for individual residents.  OREC achieves this goal through education and case consultation.
